NOTICE: Many of you were fans of my old mythology of metal. Truth be told, I wrote those years ago when I first got into metal. It's been a long time, and I feel like it's time I revised it to fit my current knowledge of the holy music known as Heavy Metal. Enjoy fellow headbangers!

The Pantheon:

Ozzy- First god of metal. He was the figurehead God who ruled with Iommi, the Great Creator at his side.

Halford - The Chosen Metal God. He resurrected the old ways of metal after it was betrayed by the four prophets.

Bruce Dickinson - God of light and arts and heir to the thrown of metal. His powers match that of the metal god himself.

Eddie the Head - Bruce Dickinson's chief advisor.

Vic Rattlehead - the ruler of The Mosh, the land of chaos

Cronos - The wise prophet who brought forth the wisdom that lead to the creation of Black, Death, and Thrash metal. He led the Cult of Venom.

Manowar - The legion of gods of Black wind, Fire, and steel.

Dio - Known as the Holy Diver. The messenger of the metal gods as well as the prince of the metal gods.

King Diamond - God of storytelling and the dark arts

Iommi - The Great Creator of the world and of heavy metal.

Gaahl - The god of darkness and the occult.

Abbath - The god of the mountains and the north.

Vikernes - Ruler of the Burzum, land of fear.

Malmsteen - The God of Shred

Lemmy - A trusted advisor in the Court of Metal.

KISS - the four prophets, The Demon, The Star, The Cat, and the Extra Terrestrial. They were seduced by the demon known as Buisness and ultimately betrayed metal to a thousand years of darkness before Rob Halford rose to power to resurrect the old ways.

Dr. Feelgood - the god of ecstasy. Born from the Hair

The Motley Crue - Band of rebels born from the Hair

Schuldiner - God of death and the Chief god of the Death Cults.

Corpsegrinder - A prophet of the Death Cults. He led the Cannibal Corpse.

Petrucci - God of skill and musical prowess.

Devin Townsend - The God of creativity. He is also worshipped in some cults as the Strapping Young Lad.

Dee Snider - The wise god of rebellion.

The Big Four - The four cults of thrash that led the rebellion against the Hair and returned it to the Sunset Strip. They are Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica.

Metallica - The leading cult of the Big Four. It would fall to The Buisness.

Megadeth - The most aggressive and violent cult of the Big Four. Spawned from Metallica for revenge.

Slayer - The most evil cult of the Big Four.

Anthrax - The most cunning cult of the Big Four.

Dimebag - God of alcohol and merrymaking. Died and was reincarnated for metal. Founder of the cult of Pantera

Anselmo - one of the head priests in the cult of Pantera.

Mustaine - One of the original priests of the cult of Metallica. He was expelled from the cult and created the cult of Megadeth. After the fall of the cult of Metallica to the Buisness, Mustaine ascended to join the Court of Metal.

Ulrich - One of the two head priests of the cult of Metallica. He gave into the Buisness.

Hetfield - The other head priest of the cult of Metallica. He gave into the Buisness.

Burton - The fallen head priest of the cult of Metallica. He was killed and with his death began the fall of the cult.

Court of Metal - The court in which the great Gods sat and ruled. Those gods were Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Lemmy, Schuldiner, Ozzy, Dio, Mustaine, Iommi, Gaahl, Dee Snider, Devin Townsend, and Petrucci. Hetfield and Ulrich were cast from the Court after turning to the Buisness.

Enemies of Metal:

The Buisness - The souless beings that wage war on Metal. They spawn many horrific creatures
in an attempt to overthrow metal. They are the ones who seduced the four prophets KISS to turn from the old ways.

The Courts of Evil - The souless beings led by Tipper Gore. They are a sect belonging to The Buisness

Tipper Gore - The evil one who tried to overthow heavy metal with The Hair.

Emo - A breed of depressing teenagers who thrive on depressing music

Scene - Mutant offspring of emo who thrive on poppy annoying music

Post-Hardcore - Demons that were rejected from the metal. They are a hybrid of the Scene and Metal, however they themselves are pure evil.

Places of Signifigance

Stage - The land of the Metal Gods. (There are different levels of hell)

Hell - Land of the dead.

Crystal Mountain - a mountain in hell where the god of death lives

The Mosh - land where chaos and destruction is constant. Land where Vic Rattlehead lives along with the birthplace of the cults of thrash.

The Sunset Strip - The land of Ecstasy. Home of Doctor Feelgood and birthplace of the Hair.

Birmingham - the void that was before time.

Mythological Beasts

The Electric Eye - The eye in the sky that observes the world below and reports to Halford.

The Hellion - The metallic bird that Halford rides to get where he wishes.

The Painkiller - The mighty beast that takes orders from the metal god.

The Ripper - Rob Halford's personal assassin

The Sentinal - One of the guards the entrance to Stage

The Metallion - Another one of the guards of Stage

The Master of Puppets - The creature born from Metallica.

The Prowler - Bruce Dickinson's personal assassin.

The Iron Man - Ozzy Osbourne's guard

The Beast - The mortal enemy of Eddie the head. It's number is 666. It constantly fights Eddie for a place by Bruce Dickinson's throne.

The Hair - The wave of heavy metal that took over in the 80s.
So years ago I posted the Mythology of Metal, and since then it has been my most popular piece of work. So I figured I'd give it a bit of an update. I'm never on here, so this may be all I do, but if not, I may write a few new myths, or at least maybe update the old ones. Enjoy!
